Your Master Key is the only way to decrypt your data. Because Tala is completely offline and uses strict local encryption, we have no backdoors and no way to recover or reset your Master Key. If you forget it, your data is permanently unrecoverable.
No. Tala is strictly offline-first to ensure maximum security. However, you can manually export an encrypted backup of your database from within the app settings and store it wherever you choose.
Tala integrates with Android's native Autofill Service. When enabled, Android notifies Tala when you are on a login screen. Tala processes this information entirely on your device to match and suggest credentials without sending any data over the network.
Yes. All vault data is stored encrypted securely using SQLCipher with 256-bit AES encryption. Even if someone gains access to your device's filesystem, they cannot read your data without your Master Key.
